Google Sketchup is a great tool for design technology, art or ICT.  It can also no doubt be applied in a whole host of ways to other subjects too, for example, building a model of a historic site in humanities.

Sketchup is a piece of software you can download for free and it allows you to create models.  You could use it to design a building, the idea classroom or even an object.  Professionals use this tool to model all sorts of things.  The Burj Al Arab (tallest building in the world not to be confused with the Burj Dubai) was actually modelled from the ground up using Google Sketchup before being built.

We have used Sketchup to ask students to create "The classroom of the future" where they were involved in thinking about what would make an idea learning space.  We actually modelled the build of some of our Business classrooms in Sketchup and allowed students to take a walk around and to give us feedback.

When a model is produced in sketchup it can even be uploaded to Google Earth.  For example, if you modelled your house, school or park this could be made available for anyone around the world to see
