Voice Thread is a fantastic tool to allow your students to get feedback/peer assessment on their work.

Students create a 'Thread' which may be them presenting a piece of work they have produced online.  They can then share this with other people who can add their 'Voices' to the thread to offer their thoughts and feedback.

Feedback can be offered in the form of text, annotations on the screen, audio, video and can even be made via a phone call!  The student who placed the work up there can then 'playback' the feedback and use it to help them to improve their work.

Here is a link to VoiceThread where you or your students can sign up for a free account (allows you to make three threads).  Below is a tutorial to give you an overview of how it works:
Example of use:

An Art Department could use this tool to exhibit artwork online.  Students then have the opportunity to peer critique each others work.  Based on the feedback students can reflect on their work and make improvements adjustments where necessary.
